Continued Professional Development - CPD Presentations
Develop your architectural practice’s knowledge and skills of tensile membrane design with a choice of three CPD presentations for architects from MakMax Taiyo Middle East.
Most states in Australia require Registered Architects to undertake Continuing Professional Development as part of their qualification and we have structured our presentations to meet all formal requirements. All presentations are offered in person or hosted via MS Teams/Zoom to allow for direct interaction with the presenter, and include a short learning assessment at the end.
Our CPD Presentations are a mix of technical detail and design capability and provide a solid grounding to help you incorporate tensile membrane structures in your architectural designs.
MakMax Taiyo Middle East Capability Presentations
We are also available to give informal presentations focusing on MakMax Taiyo Middle East’s capability for other industries.
Let us know if you have a project coming up that requires tensile membranes and we can tailor a bespoke presentation for your organisation to assist in the development and planning phase.

Shade Design in Landscape Architecture
FORMAL CPD
Unit of Competency: Design
CPD Presentation Overview:
With one of the highest skin-cancer rates in the world, plus the warmer-than-ever summers, the importance including shade in landscape architectural design is more important than ever. Strong, durable and with a wide-range of architectural possibilities, tensile membrane structures are an ideal way of including shade in your landscape designs.
Learning Outcomes:
Learn about the incorporating shade into your next landscape project design, including:
- The Importance of Shade in Landscape Design
- Common Shade Structure Materials
- Creating Shade With Tensile Membrane Structures
- Shade Structure Applications
Assessment/Interaction:
Presentation includes a short quiz at the end. Participants are also encouraged to interact with the presenter during the presentation and then in dedicated question time at the end.

Feedback on our Presentations
“The Fundamentals of Tensile Membrane Design presentation was fantastic. It covered a good overall technical scope of what can be achieved with various materials and a great case study of exemplars.
I think the team will find the information very useful to call upon on future jobs.
Love that it’s manufactured in Brisbane. Thanks Again.”
